A man arrested after a six-hour police operation at Wollongbar on Thursday, November 23, remains under police guard in Lismore Base Hospital, Ballina Court was told today.

Paul William Chesworth, 45, was represented in Ballina Local Court via videolink by Gemma Campagna as matters relating to his arrest were heard by Magistrate Karen Stafford.
Mr Chesworth was charged with using a carriage service to make a hoax threat, giving false information about a person/property in danger, and possessing a prohibited drug.
A further charge of contravening a prohibition/restriction in AVO was laid in relation to a separate incident.
Ms Campagna requested the matters be adjourned to Byron Bay Local Court on Monday, November 27.
Mr Chesworth made no application for bail.
Magistrate Stafford said on the balance of facts before the court, it seemed probable Mr Chesworth had breached bail conditions already in place, and bail was revoked.
About 8am on Thursday, November 23, emergency services were called to a private property on the Bruxner Highway, Wollongbar, following a concern for welfare.
About 2pm, a 45-year-old man was taken into custody by officers from the Tactical Operations Unit.
He was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for assessment before being taken to Lismore Police Station.
