6 new COVID-19 cases in Penrith, Hawkesbury number remains stable

There were six new cases of COVID-19 identified in the Penrith local government area (LGA) overnight, and the number of Hawkesbury cases remained stable.

Hawkesbury currently has six cases of COVID-19 that have been identified. This number has remained stable for the past week.

In the Penrith LGA, there are now 46 cases, with 27 of these from an unknown source of transmission.

Blacktown, which is currently under tougher lockdown orders than Hawkesbury, now has 233 cases, with 87 of these from an unknown source.

In the Blue Mountains, there are three cases and Lithgow hasn't recorded any cases during this Delta outbreak.

The Hills Shire now has 25 cases with nine of these from an unknown source.

Sadly, two people died, a man in his 20s from south-west Sydney and a woman in her 80s from the inner west.

New exposure sites

There are no new exposure sites in the Hawkesbury.

However, there is one at nearby Marsden Park. Anyone who attended Costco Marsden Park at 10 Langford Drive, Marsden Park, between 5:25pm and 5:55pm on Saturday, July 31, is a "casual contact" and must get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

"If your date of exposure at this venue occurred in last 4 days, you must get another test on day 5 from the date of exposure," NSW Health states.

"Wear a mask around others and limit your movements until you get another negative result. You should continue to monitor for symptoms and if any symptoms occur, get tested again."

There is also a new "casual contact" site at Quakers Hill, at 7-Eleven Quakers Hill, 83 Lalor Road and Quakers Hill Parkway, 10:40pm to 10:50pm on Wednesday, July 21.
