Pages Wharf Road in Sackville has re-opened after repairs to fix damage caused by the flood in March.
Extensive repairs, including bank stabilisation works, were carried out to provide residents from the Hawkesbury and The Hills Shire districts with access to their homes and other street networks after the region's worst flood in decades impacted a section of the rural road.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne, said she was pleased to see the road now operational.
"When the flood waters receded, we saw the true impact of this natural disaster," Mayor Byrne said.
"Literally, a big chunk of the road was missing and some of our residents remained landlocked."
She said The Hills Shire Council worked hard to provide residents with temporary access while the repairs were taking place, and ensured garbage could continue to be collected.
"These repairs were a challenging task, but I want to thank residents for their patience and understanding as work was carried out to restore the road to full capacity," Mayor Byrne said.
