Mid-table Bologna have made a tremendous comeback from two goals down to win 3-2 at Serie A backmarkers Crotone.
Junior Messias struck a long-range free kick that bounced into the far corner and Nigerian Simy converted a penalty after video review for Crotone to lead 2-0 at halftime in Saturday's match.
Adama Soumaoro triggered the comeback in the 62nd minute and a drive from Jerdy Schouten made it 2-2 before Andreas Skov Olsen tapped in the winner with six minutes left.
The Bolognese moved into 10th place past Sampdoria and Udinese with the newcomers rooted at the bottom with 10 games left.
"We are going through a tough period. Each defeat is heavy for us because we cannot afford it," said Crotone coach Serse Cosmi, who has three losses and one win since taking over in early March, despite the nine goals scored.
"Taking a two-goal lead was an enterprise. Seeing it vanish was very painful. But we have to be strong and overcome the disappointment."
In Saturday's other Serie A game, promoted Spezia went seven points clear of trouble thanks to a crucial 2-1 home win against third-last Cagliari.
Roberto Piccoli's header and a lucky volley from skipper Giulio Maggiore put the hosts ahead in the second half and Cagliari's Gaston Pereiro kept the game alive with an 83rd-minute tap-in.
The Inter Milan-Sassuolo match was cancelled because the league leaders Inter are in isolation after four players tested positive for the coronavirus.
On Sunday, second-placed AC Milan visit Fiorentina with third-placed Juventus at home to Benevento before the late classic between Roma and Napoli.
