Hawkesbury Race Club will be making its first return to the track in 2021 with a race day to be held on Tuesday, February 9.
After racing on December 13, the club took the near two-month break to complete some renovations that saw the track stripped right back to its roots.
The grounds staff has since brought the grass back to be healthy and well-fed.
The club are over the moon with the results of the renovations and look forward to its first race meet in 2021, leading into the Provincial Championships.
The event will continue to follow the COVID-19 safety precautions that were implemented by the club throughout most of last year.
Hawkesbury offers limited tickets to be prebooked by patrons. These will be released in advance of race days, sold on a first-come-first-served basis, and admission will be for pre-purchased ticket holders only.
There will be designated zones for each ticket holder and a temperature test on arrival.
Alcohol can only be consumed by seated attendees and guests are to maintain a safe physical distance of 1.5m, with co-mingling is not permitted between groups.
The club asks for good hand hygiene to be practiced, as sanitiser will be available throughout the venue and for any guests are feeling unwell or that have even mild symptoms, that they leave the premises immediately
