Fans of high octane modern Irish dance will not want to miss new production Celtica, when it storms the stage of the Sydney Coliseum Theatre on December 11.
The production was created by the producers of hit show Celtic Illusion and features an elite troupe of dancers, including stars of the aforementioned production and Riverdance.
Guests will be astounded as they witness some of the fastest taps oin the world, awe inspiring contemporary Irish music and spectacular costuming.
Foir cast member Tom Brosnan, the performance will be as close to being in front of a home crowd as it gets.
The professional dancer, dance teacher and five-time World Irish Dancing Champion from Bristol, England, now calls Australia home and is the founder of The Brosnan Academy of Irish Dance in Penrith.
His professional career started in 2009 when he traveled to Australia for the first time to embark on a six-month tour of the country with The Rhythms of Ireland.
Following the tour, Brosnan went on to travel to more than 30 countries with 10 different productions, including Riverdance and Celtic Illusion.
Due to his success both as a competitive dancer and as a professional dancer, in 2013, he was voted Irish Dancing Magazine's Man of the Year, a huge accolade in recognition of his remarkable talent and his work as a great ambassador of Irish dance.
In 2018 Brosnan, with his wife Erin, moved to Australia permanently.
As well as having more than 20 years experience in Irish dancing, Brosnan studied coaching at college and university in the UK and is a qualified soccer, fitness and sports coach.
He says that he feels lucky to have the chance to perform as part of the Celtica cast, in what has been an extremely difficult year for everyone.
