It seems a long time between drinks - well, since the AFL grand final anyway.
The season that was has already been picked apart and analysed ad nauseum. As you'd expect, commentary has been fierce over all manner of issues - but, by and large, two points remain irrefutable.
Actually getting the season up and running was an administrative and logistical master stroke of epic proportions; and, the woes that befell Gary Ablett in that GF were unfair and beyond cruel.
But hey, that's 2020 for you.
As the season recedes into the background and that summery thwack of leather on willow resonates, we're going to sidestep Best on Ground into new territory.
We'll still keep you posted on some of the AFL comings and goings every week but you might see some more diverse content in there, too.
And with the trade period ending tonight at 7.30pm, we kind of suspect there might be lots of news next week! Until then ...
