Funny man Akmal will bring the laughs to Windsor RSL on Friday, December 4.

Well known for his ability to deal with hot topics in an hilarious and slightly offensive manner, Akmal's new show, Open For Reservations, promises to deliver.

One of the country's most respected and accomplished comics, Akmal draws on his Arabic heritage, his experiences immigrating to Australia at age 11, and his disillusionment with religion and the modern world, to deliver a stand-up show that is fresh, honest and ridiculously funny.

He entered the world of comedy in 1990 under the alias Peter Saleh. He claims the name was "so people would think I was white".

Since then he has performed in movies, on television and has served as a regular radio and talk show host. He's also written a book about his journey from Egypt and his life as an Arab touring the Australian comedy circuit.

Akmal's comedy has taken him to festivals all around the world including Edinburgh and Montreal.

Of course, he has always been a hit at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and he's won numerous awards, including two ARIA nominations for his live special.

Due to COVID restrictions, tickets for the show are limited. Be sure to visit windsorrsl.com.au to secure yours.
