Windsor Country Golf Club welcomed Richmond Golf Club to it's course on Tuesday, August 4 as they hosted the annual Jess Parker Trophy.
The event between Richmond and Windsor Associates is played at alternate home courses each year.
Richmond held the trophy heading into this year after a solid win at their home course in 2019.
The top five scores of each team determines the winning club. Richmond retianed the trophy as they just edged out a two point win, 181 to 179.
The top scores for the day were:
- Richmond - Jeanette Starr (42), Lynette Luttringer (37), Janine Humphreys (35), Tanya Kennedy (34) and Leonie Manczek (33). Total 181 points.
- Windsor - Vickie Smith (42)., Sue Bracey (35), Sanny Kinnish (34), Mary Blackburn (34) and Janice Wakefield (34). Total 179 points.
Windsor's Susan Woodley said that it was a pleasure to host the event, on a perfect day in the Hawkesbury.
"We all had a great day and enjoy the rivalry," she said. "Sincere congratulations goes to Richmond."
It's not often that the away team wins the Jess Parker Trophy and Richmond Ladies Golf were proud of it's players, and excited about the win.
Richmond thanked Windsor for hosting the event. Both clubs are looking forward to next years match-up.
