Hawkesbury MP Robyn Preston encourages Hawkesbury cricket clubs and the Council to apply for funding and capitalise off Australia's success at the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Applications are now open for the final round of the NSW ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Cricket Legacy Fund and Ms Preston said securing funding will help improve the quality and quantity of cricket facilities and programs across the region.

"The Legacy Fund will help inspire the next generation of community cricketers in Hawkesbury," she said.

"It will ensure communities across the state will reap the benefits of hosting a World Cup and I encourage clubs, associations and councils in the Hawkesbury to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity."

There is $2 million in funding available and applications are open from July 22 to August 24. For more information visit https://sport.nsw.gov.au/clubs/grants/t20worldcupfund.
