Hawkesbury City Council launches new planning portal for development applications

Local development applications (DA) for the Hawkesbury Local Government Area can now be lodged online through the NSW Planning Portal, and by the end of this year, Council will ask that all DAs go through this portal.

If you're seeking council approval on a new build or renovation, you can now submit development applications (DA) online via the NSW Planning Portal, a new online DA lodgement service.

The online platform will allow homeowners and businesses to lodge applications from their home or office, and neighbours can see in real time what development is proposed in their areas.

This is an additional facility for applicants to lodge applications, as well as continuing to be able to lodge applications in person, via post and email.

By December 31, Hawkesbury City Council will accept 100 per cent of Development Applications through the NSW Planning Portal.

The NSW Planning Portal is located on the NSW Government website at www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au.

If you need assistance using the online development application service, please see the quick reference guides at www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/support/how-guides or contact Service NSW on 1300 305 695 for additional support.
