The NSW Metro Major Pennants golf finished up for Hawkesbury clubs, Richmond, Windsor and Lynwood, this past Sunday, March 15.
All teams were close to a first place finish in their sections.
Richmond came third in Division Three Section Two after losing in the final round to Cabramatta 4.5 points to 2.5. They were six points behind Cabramatta to end the competition.
Windsor tied for second in their division, 0.5 points behind first, after defeating Warringah four to three.
Lynwood finished with a four to three win over Massey Park. They came second in Division Two Section Two, 1.5 points behind first place.
In other golfing news, unfortunately, the Executive of the Western Sydeney Rregion Veterans Golfers Association (WSRVGA) announced on Wednesday, March 18 that the 2020 NSWVGA Stroke-Play Championships has been cancelled.
Following advice from Golf NSW on the coronavirus situation the event which was to be held at Richmond Golf Club, Penrith Golf Club and Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club from Monday, March 23 to Wednesday March, 25 was cancelled.
The WSRVGA Inter-Club event scheduled for March 31 at Richmond Golf Club has been deferred and organisers are looking to re-schedule it for November, 2020.
