A proposal for a caravan park at Glossodia is back in the spotlight after nearby residents were notified of amendments submitted by the applicant.
Hawkesbury City Council Director City Planning Linda Perrine said the applicant for the $6.9 million Wattle Crescent development has lodged an appeal with the Land and Environment Court under the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
"The application was not determined within the period prescribed by the regulations for the determination of the application and is therefore considered to be a 'deemed refusal'," she explained.
"As a result of concerns raised by council in its Statement of Facts and Contentions, the applicant approached the court requesting leave for amendments to be made.
"Leave was granted by the court for the applicant to make the amendments, and it was determined by court that re-notification of the application was required as a result."

The DA, submitted in December last year, seeks approval for the construction of 96 movable dwelling sites, two permanent caravan sites and associated facilities at 66 Wattle Crescent.
It also includes a caretaker's residence, community building, car parking, recreation areas and additional landscaping and signage permission.
The site has been the focus of community concern in the past, with a previous DA for 148 permanent cabin sites and two caravan spots plus manager's house, outbuildings and parking refused by Hawkesbury Council in 2015.
Nearby residents had raised concerns that the scale and density of the development was not in keeping with the rest of Glossodia, and that it was an overdevelopment of the site.
Developers PRJM Pty Ltd engaged in unsuccessful mediation with council before lodging an appeal in the Land and Environment Court, dismissed in 2016.
The application is being re-notified between October 28 to November 25. The court hearing for the matter will be between December 2 to 6.
