The longest inter-college sporting event in the nation's history will be taking place in Canberra this weekend.
Western Sydney University (WSU) Hawkesbury - also known as Hawkesbury Agricultural College (HAC) - will compete against Duntroon Royal Military College (RMC) in a massive day of sport.
Every year the two colleges compete in a variety of sports, that will culminate in the important and traditional rugby match.
The competition has a long history dating back 97 years to 1922, where RMC and HAC came together to further the relationships their students had formed over WWI.
The annual event is the longest inter-collegiate rivalry in Australia and is being held at Duntroom Royal Military College in Canberra this Saturday, October 19.
A large group of WSU students, largely from the Richmond campus, will be heading-off early on Saturday morning, travelling south to Duntroon.
They will be playing in seven sports on the day, including; mixed and men's soccer, netball, basketball, mixed touch football, women's rugby sevens and men's rugby.
The rivalry is an important day for both colleges and holds a lot of tradition which all students and old-boys of the colleges hold close.
The day is about fostering the relationship that was formed between the two colleges.
It began as just a day of rugby and has since evolved into a far-reaching competition of various sports.
The teams will compete for the overall championship, which is awarded to the college who wins the most sports.
