Hollywood star Renee Zellweger will walk the red carpet for the Australian premiere of her new film Judy, based on American singer and actress Judy Garland.
Zellweger, who starred in the Bridget Jones's Diary films and won an Oscar for her performance in Cold Mountain, will attend the premiere at Melbourne's Capitol Theatre on Tuesday evening.
Her performance as Garland has already been praised by critics, with Zellweger singing throughout the role just as she had in the 2002 film Chicago.
The film follows Garland's life in 1968, three decades after she shot to stardom in The Wizard of Oz.
As she prepares for a series of sold-out shows in London Garland faces a number of challenges.
"She was fearful that she wouldn't have access to her instrument," Zellweger told Vanity Fair, on Garland during her Talk of the Town stage run.
"And she wasn't sure how her performances were going to go and whether or not she was going to measure up to what had become people's pretty extraordinary expectations of her."
