It took a roster of truck drivers to drive continuously so Dangalabba could complete his journey efficiently and safely.
The four-metre estuarine croc was removed from Darwin Harbour amid concerns for public safety and had lived at a farm in Broome for many years before relocating to Perth.
He is estimated to be between 35 and 42 years old, and is described as a "big boy" in the prime of his life.
Zoo staff say Dangalabba is settling into his new palatial home, which includes a heated pool set to 27C.
Dangalabba's name means "crocodile" in the language of the Larrakia people, who are the traditional owners of the area where he was hatched.
He comes to the zoo almost one year after the death of 70-year-old bachelor estuarine crocodile Simmo.
