Pitt Town Uniting Church will hold the Massive Market Day on the grounds of Scots Uniting Church at Pitt Town this Saturday, June 29.
There will be over 50 stalls including tables of local fresh fruit and vegetables, cakes and slices, kebabs, sausages, Devonshire teas and a lot more.
Entertainment will include "The Silver Tones", Jess Reefman and Sally Andrews and is expected to attract many people from all over the Hawkesbury, Hills and surrounding areas who want to support the raising of funds for clean water wells in West Papua.
Former church member Shelley Houghton (sister of current member Rebecca Andrews) worked with Uniting World in West Papua.
Shelley and Rebecca, along with Rebecca's daughter Sally, formed the West Papuan Development Company.
They work with a team on the ground in West Papua and together have devised a system for building wells in remote locations with only hand-held equipment.
Clean water in villages has made an incredible difference to their lives.
Girls in particular are now able to attend school instead of walking many miles to access clean water.
The people of the Hawkesbury have incredible passion and enthusiasm for this ministry.
Last year the church raised enough funds to build two more wells in the most remote area of West Papua .
Everyone is welcome to the day of fun, entertainment and raising money to build more wells in West Papua.
