She has already claimed one of Australian swimming's biggest scalps at the world titles trials in Brisbane.
Now Emma McKeon has the world-beating Campbell sisters in her sights.
The spotlight will fall on the women's 100m freestyle on Thursday when former world champions Cate and Bronte Campbell compete at the six-day trials for the first time.
Former world record holder Cate Campbell is the runaway favourite.
She cruised to win the national title in April, earning the world No.1 ranking ahead of next month's world titles in South Korea.
But McKeon has emerged as the dark horse after a sensational start to the trials.
After claiming the 100m butterfly final, McKeon caused a boilover when she upstaged Australian swimming's golden girl - Commonwealth record holder Ariarne Titmus - in the 200m freestyle.
McKeon clocked a personal best time, and fastest 200m since 2016 to move her to world No.2 in the rankings.
Now free of self doubt after overcoming a shoulder niggle that had plagued her since early 2018, McKeon backed herself to turn more heads in the 100m freestyle on the second last night of the trials.
"I feel really good. This swimming (training) block is probably the best I have felt since the worlds at 2017," McKeon said.
"I am really happy with my training. I am a lot stronger.
"In the 100m free I think my strength will show there."
Bronte Campbell will be out to impress on her return from shoulder surgery while young gun Shayna Jack also looms in the 100m field.
Meanwhile, former dual world champion Mitch Larkin will be out to extend his stellar trials form in his pet event 200m backstroke.
Larkin is buzzing after winning the 100m backstroke final and snatching the world No.2 ranking before setting a Commonwealth record with his 200m individual medley victory.
In other events on Thursday, shock 400m trials winner Jack McLoughlin will feature in the 1500m freestyle, Taylor McKeown in the women's 200m breaststroke and Matthew Wilson in the men's 200m breaststroke.
