It's the event that brings the community together, and this year, the annual Hawkesbury Show could break record numbers.
Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association (HDAA) president Ross Matheson said judging by online ticket sales, feedback, entries into the categories, and a great weather forecast, it truly was shaping up to be the biggest show ever.
"For the last three years we've had 60,000 people. I believe this year we could hit 70,000, which would be the biggest event ever held in the district," Mr Matheson said.
The show brings together the best bits of an agricultural show with a modern-day carnival twist.
Get ready for stunning fireworks displays and exhilarating rides and thrills, showbags and knick-knacks, crazy carnival foods, and games of skill and chance down sideshow alley.
But make sure you don't miss the amazing array of agricultural events, showcasing the region's best in cattle, horses, alpacas, chickens, and more.
"There will be traditional woodchopping events on Saturday and Sunday, and a woodchopping spectacular on Saturday night featuring some of the best axemen in Australia," said Mr Matheson.
"Our horse events are huge this year, including for the first time in many years, horse sporting events of flag and barrel racing.
"For the first time ever, we'll have four sheep shearing demonstrations per day over the three days."
Mr Matheson said entries into many of the sections had exploded this year, and despite the drought, entries in the fruit, vegetables and flowers sections were looking top-notch.
"Entries in the art and craft sections are up by 20 per cent on last year. Alpacas is going to be one of our biggest ever turnouts, and cattle is the best it has been for four years," he said.
