A man convicted of stalking singer Taylor Swift has been charged with breaking into her New York townhouse for a second time.

Roger Alvarado, 23, was charged with stalking, burglary and felony criminal contempt for violating an order of protection after he allegedly broke into Swift's Manhattan home in the early hours on Thursday, according to celebrity magazine Page Six, citing police sources.
The Florida native previously broke into Swift's residence in April and was sentenced to six months imprisonment and five years probation.
He was released from prison on February 5 and ordered to serve his probation in his home state.
Swift's security system alerted police to his alleged presence early Thursday, Page Six said.
The 29-year-old entertainer was not home at the time of the alleged break-in.
The alleged forced entry to the property comes just a day after Swift wrote in a column that she had taken to carrying "army grade" bandage dressings in case of an attack.
"Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I've ever had online," she wrote for Elle magazine.
"You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things."
Alvarado was arraigned later on Thursday in Manhattan Criminal Court.
