Richmond boxer, Joel Brunker has been working hard in preparation for his next title fight on Saturday, March 9 at Windsor Function Centre.
The 33-year-old will be taking a shot at the vacant IBF Pan Pacific Super Featherweight Title, when he comes up against Tanzania's Bruno Vifuaviwili.
Brunker feels like this will probably be his last chance to go for an international fight and world title, if successful on March 9.
He expects Vifuaviwili to be quick and to come forward.
"He's young and really quick … he bounces around, so I will have to move a lot more than usual to try and neutralise him there," said Brunker. "I will have to pick up my pace to stop him."
Joel loves to fight at home as he feels like he becomes more focused and motivated to achieve.
"It's such good energy with all my friends, family and biggest fans here at home… I get great support here.
"Away from home I find it harder to give it my all but here with everyone watching it's easy."
Brunker said he's finally back to his old self.
"I feel normal again, I feel like myself … the last few years I have been out of it but right now I feel great," he said.
Joel Brunker and other local boxers will be in action on Saturday, March 9 at the Windsor Function Center.
