One man has been charged with six separate offences and a second with misleading police following a serious crash at Oakville.
Three young men were allegedly seen running from a Ford Ranger that had crashed onto its roof on Hanckel Road about 7am on January 19, according to police.
“About 7.50am Hawkesbury Highway Patrol located the three young males walking on Old Stock Route Road, Oakville, about three kilometres from the crash scene,” a police statement said.
Following further investigations, the 20-year-old alleged driver, from Woolooware, was charged with false representations resulting in police investigation, refuse form of demand, provisional driver exceed passenger restriction after disqualification, negligent driving, leave scene of collision/fail to exchange details, and mid range drink driving.
His licence was suspended.
One of the passengers, a 20-year-old man from McGraths Hill, was also charged with false representations resulting in police investigation.
Both are due to appear before Windsor Local Court on February 13.
