A Sydney jury is into its second week of deliberations at the trial of a Kurdish-Australian man accused of travelling overseas to fight for a terrorist organisation.
"I am here to help," Justice Lucy McCallum on Friday told the NSW Supreme Court jury, which retired on November 7.
"If there is anything I can do to assist you to expedite your deliberations please don't hesitate to let me know."
Renas Lelikan, 40, has pleaded not guilty to engaging in hostile activities in a foreign state in the Turkey-Iraq border area in 2012, but has admitted being a member of an illegal terrorist organisation, the Kurdistan Workers' Party or PKK.
Lelikan told the jury he was reporting on the Kurdish guerillas and didn't take part in terrorist warfare.
The jury will resume deliberations on Tuesday, due to one having a medical appointment on Monday.
