Richmond Golf Club has moved into the playoffs in the T.L. Warren Trophy Pennants series, following a 2-1 win over Lynwood Country Club, at Lynwood.
The win by Richmond's B Grade team was the first away win by any team in Section 7, promoting the local club into the playoffs.
Robert Coutts and Paul Huntley won their match by one hole, Glenn Hunter and Paul Seward won 3&2, whilst Paul Riley and Joel Mahoney lost 2&1.
Richmond's C Grade team in the W. Gibson Trophy competition fell 2.5-0.5 to Lynwood and finished the season without a win.
The elimination finals will be held on September 16 at Eastlake Golf Club and Glenmore Heritage Valley Golf Club. Quarter finals will be held the following week at Liverpool, Muirfield, Stonecutters Ridge golf clubs as well as Cumberland Country Club.The October 7 semi-finals will be held at Eastlake and Glenmore Heritage Valley. The October 14 final venue has not been decided.
