Digital workshops aimed at assisting small to medium businesses will launch next month.
Fairfax Media will host three workshops at venues in the Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains to provide digital training to businesses that want to learn the best way to maximise their online presence.
The Gazette's sales manager Glenis Wright said anecdotal feedback showed that many small businesses wanted to gain the tools necessary to survive and thrive in the digital sphere.
She said the workshops were open to small-medium businesses from all sectors.
“There’s a lot of enquiry about the digital landscape and the perception that it can be quite scary,” she said.
“A majority [of those attending] would be wanting more information and to gain knowledge on making better decisions for where they should go.”
We want to break down some of the barriers and help businesses in the online space.

Miss Wright said Hawkesbury businesses had seen the need to switch to online advertising over the past five or ten years.
“Digital is a really big opportunity for Hawkesbury businesses, so I’d say it’s really fast growing,” she said.
“Every single market gets bigger and bigger.”
The following workshops will be held: Tuesday, September 25 at Penrith Panthers; Wednesday, September 26 at Springwood Sports Club; and Thursday, September 27 at Crown Plaza Hawkesbury.
