HAWKESBURY City Football Club has climbed to the top of the Football NSW NPL 3 ladder after defeating the Stanmore Hawks 4-2 at the weekend.
Hawkesbury has shared the spot spot on the ladder at times during the season, however, with a loss to Bankstown City, Hawkesbury remains the only undefeated team in the league through the opening rounds of the season.
Hawkesbury now has six wins and two draws so far this season, and has 20 competition points.
Hawkesbury saw four different goal scorers in the round eight victory over the Stanmore Hawks.
Daniel Morsillo continued his hot form with the boot and brought his season tally to eight in the match. Morsillo’s eight goals ranks him third so far this season.
The other goal scorers in the victory were Bradley Gibson, Tobias Elliot-Orr and Joaquin Veliz.
In round nine, Hawkesbury will play Fraser Park FC at Fraser Park at 7pm on Saturday.
