This Saturday’s TAB Stand Alone meet at Hawkesbury Race Club offers much more than on-track action.
According to race club CEO Greg Rudolph, the day will also be a fashion feast with Australia’s leading celebrity hair stylist Joh Bailey taking the reins to judge Fashions on the Field.
“With over 30 years experience and a client list boasting international superstars like Princess Diana, Kim Kardashian, Hugh Jackman, Elle Macpherson, Jennifer Hawkins, Miranda Kerr and Paris Hilton, we are very excited to have Joh Bailey involved in the 13th annual TAB Standalone Saturday,” he said.
Joh will lead the panel to award a female and male best dressed for the day. He will be looking for originality of style, attention to detail, including hair styling and headwear, overall presentation, attitude, flair and adaptation of fashion trends.
“I am looking forward to making my own mark at TAB Standalone Saturday,” said Joh.
“Many people know me for my ‘stretch and burn’ blow drying technique and I am looking forward to seeing how that will translate in the upcoming Fashions on the Field – literally and figuratively with the home stretch sure to produce some burning hot winners.”
The Best Dressed Male and Female will win a $1000 David Jones voucher, The Star Sydney Luxury Escape, featuring one night’s luxury accommodation at The Darling Hotel – Sydney’s only Forbes five star boutique hotel – plus a decadent breakfast for two at Sokyo, a stunning Robert Oatley Wines gift pack and an arrangement of beautiful flowers.
The Best Dressed Female will also win a unique headpiece by leading Sydney milliner Carole Maher.
As well as the fashion fun, the TAB Stand Alone Saturday will feature four stakes races, including the $200,000 G3 Livomol Hawkesbury Gold Cup, the $200,000 G3 Blacktown Workers Group Hawkesbury Guineas, the $150,000 G3 Godolphin Crown and the $125,000 Listed XXXX Gold Rush.
There will also be plenty of entertainment including live music by Uptown Funk Band, the action of the TAB Virtual Reality Racing Experience, pop-up bars by Robert Oatley Wines and Iron Jack, a range of food offerings, and the smashing Summer Bright Lager Marquee for punters.
For the kids, the popular duo Kozi and Pinkie will be on track to entertain, with a free jumping castle sure to burn a bit of extra energy.
“As unique as it is sociable, Hawkesbury's Stand Alone has firmly established itself as the ideal act to complete the autumn racing spectacular in Sydney and we hope to see you there,” Mr Rudolph said.
