HAWEKESBURY City Football Club’s first grade side chalked up another win at the weekend, this time climbing out of a deficit and defeating Sydney University 2-1.
City came back from the wrong end of a 1-0 half-time score to win, scoring two goals in the second half at Arlington Oval.
Daniel Morsillo slotted his seventh goal of the season for City at the weekend, while Majid Eslami scored his first. Morsillo is in a three-way tie for second most goals scored so far this season.
After the seventh round of Football NSW’s NPL 3 competition, City remain tied for first place, with five wins and two draws.
City is tied on 17 points with Bankstown City FC.
The under-20s and under-18s both lost. In the NPL Youth league, the under-14s lost, but the under-16s, 15s and 13s all picked up wins.
In round eight, City will play the Stanmore Hawks at Bensons Lane from 7pm.
