DO you have a drone? Have you ever wanted to fly one? Does your drone need fixing, or do you simply want some information about drone flying?

Hawkesbury Innovation and Science Hub is hosting a free, family-friendly, Bring Your Own Drone day at Hawkesbury Model Air Sports (HMAS) Field in Vineyard on Saturday, March 24 from 10am.

There will be free lessons, drone demonstrations, tips on how to get started, and FPV (first person view) demonstrations and races.

There will also be jets and fixed-wing RC (radio control) plane flying, giveaways, opportunities to ask the experts, information about night flying, and refreshments available for purchase including a bbq.

Representatives from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority will be there providing information about what you can and can’t do at the field, and also about future jobs in the drones area.

Visit www.hmasinc.com.au for more information, or email onegiantleap@bigpond.com.

The HMAS field is located at the end of Bandon Road, Vineyard.
