Kurmond Veterinary Clinic, which has been looking after the days-old kittens since they arrived late last month, has announced the kittens will be named Spyder and Davey.
The two kittens were rescued by motorbike rider Graeme Garlick, and been named in honour of two well-known models.
”We have decided on “Spyder” for the dark ginger boy, in honour of Graeme [Garlick] who saved them and “Davey” for the light ginger boy (a nod to Harley Davidson),” the clinic stated on its Facebook page on February 20.
The clinic had called for suggestions from the public for the names, with some of the more creative entries including Fonzie and Chachi, Justin and Thyme, Mike and Mal, and of course, Harley and Davidson.
Mr Garlick found the kittens at the truck stop on January 23. They were believed to be between three and fives days old at the time, and still had their umbilical cords attached.
The clinic believes they were dumped at the truck stop.
The two are currently still being bottle by clinic staff. They will be available for adoption when they are between six and eight weeks of age, and will be microchipped, wormed and vaccinated.
