PITT TOWN and Riverstone had first grade victories in Hawkesbury District Cricket Association at the weekend.
Pitt Town’s Luke Power made a century in his club’s victory over Bligh Park at Oakville Oval on Saturday in the round eight clash.
Power hit a six and 13 boundaries in an innings where Pitt Town scored 210.
Kevin Campbell backed up Power with a well earned 75 runs.
Power and Campbell had a 156 run partnership in the match.
With the ball in hand, Owen Hickman took five wickets for Pitt Town to help roll Bligh park for 68.
Meanwhile, in the other match, Freemans Reach was outclassed by Riverstone.
Freemans Reach won the toss and batted first, but only made 72 runs.
Glen Jacobsen was the best bowler for Riverstone, taking three wickets.
Rhys Whybrow made 35 to top score for Riverstone during the chase.
Jamie Uncles also made 22 during the chase which lasted only 18 overs.
In round nine, Bligh Park will take on Richmond and North Richmond will play Pitt Town while Freemans Reach has the bye.
Pitt Town is on top of the first grade ladder with 31 points, one ahead of Riverstone.
The final round before the Christmas break will be played on Saturday.
