HAWKESBURY Cricket Club got off to a fantastic start in the NSW Premier Cricket league T20 competition, which began on Sunday.
Hawkesbury defeated Fairfield-Liverpool in its first match, before going on to top Northern District.
Against Fairfield-Liverpool, Josh Clarke made 78 not out off 54 balls, while also taking three wickets with the ball in hand.
Against Northern District, Ryan Mizzi top scored with 66 off 46 balls, before Pat Lawrence and Toby Flynn-Duncombe took two wickets apiece.
Hawkesbury’s next match will be against Campbelltown-Camden on November 19.
Meanwhile, in the NSW Premier Cricket competition, Hawkesbury struggled against Sydney University on Saturday.
Sydney University batted first and posted 9-397 before declaring and then taking three Hawkesbury wickets before stumps.
The Match will continue on Saturday, with Jordan Gaudi and night-watchman Pat Lawrence, who were not out at the weekend, resuming.
