A North Richmond man has been charged after he stole a car from a home in Cranebrook last month.
New South Wales Police received a report of a Ford Focus that was stolen from a residential premises in Cranebrook on, September 30.
In the early hours of Wednesday, October 11, Windsor Police were patrolling the North Richmond area. The stolen vehicle was sighted in Riverview Street.
A person ran from the vicinity and a Police dog was called to the location. A 47 year old male from no fixed place of abode was later tracked to Sunnyside Crescent, North Richmond and arrested.
He was taken to Windsor Police Station and charged with the offence of 'Take and Drive Conveyance Without Consent of Owner'. The male was also charged with other outstanding matters and refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court.
