Graduates and their families who attended the Australian Air Force Cadets Promotions Courses Parade at RAAF Base Richmond were treated to two fast jet flypasts on Sunday.
Around 400 AAFC cadets and numerous family members traveled from all around NSW to support these young cadets at their graduation celebration parade.
The parade program included two flypasts by up to two Hawk 127 Lead-In Fighter aircraft conducting low level passes in close formation over the parade ground.
The aircraft arrived on Saturday morning were available for AAFC Cadets interested in fast jets and becoming aircrew to inspect and talk with fighter pilots prior to the parade. A significant proportion of these cadets typically go on to seek a career in Air Force.
Hawk 127 jets are used as training aircraft for fighter pilots before they move on to F/A-18A Hornets, F/A-18F Super Hornets or E/A-18G Growler aircraft.
