THE Windsor Wolves came away with a hard fought win in Penrith Junior Rugby League A Grade action at the weekend.
The Wolves won a scrappy battle with Cambridge Park at the Windsor Sports Complex, emerging 24-4 victors.
It was a game played with plenty of intensity, as both teams lost their cool at times according to Windsor coach Chris Boyd.
“They really brought the old fashioned type of game. It was very stop-start and we couldn't get a roll on,” he said.
We have a few injuries so we'll just have to call a few blokes up.

“We were a bit clunky in stages. They tried to slow the play down a bit, they didn't want to play footy with us.”
Boyd praised man of the match Pat Hollis, who he said thrived in the heated match, and said Dean Barron and Peter Betros also played great games for the Wolves on Sunday.
The win was Windsor’s third of the season, to give them a 3-1 record in their first year back playing in the A Grade competition.
This weekend, the Wolves will have to contend with injuries, when they take on Emu Plains.
Boyd said Pat’s brother Sam injured his knee at the weekend, while Eton Lindsey also hurt his shoulder.
“We are going alright so far, but now we have a few injuries so we'll just have to call a few blokes up and prepare for Emu Plains,” he said.
