No Australia Day plans yet? Kurrajong Comleroy Historical Society’s annual Australia Day breakfast is a great start.
The last 15 have been such a hoot, it’s all on again this year, from 9-11am at the hut in Bowen Mountain Park.
Bring your own breakfast – whether it’s a bowl of muesli, or bacon, eggs, sausage and tomato to cook on the barbecue.
There is an electric undercover barbecue, tongs, oil, a kitchen with fridge, cutlery, plates, table and chairs, tea and coffee, so all you have to bring is your breakfast food and drink.
Guest speaker John Slavan will talk on the work and history of the Crago Observatory in the bush at Bowen Mountain to give you mental food to chew on as well.
If you’d like to find out more, contact the society’s secretary Suzanne at secretary@kurrajonghistory.org.au or on 4567 7410. Approach the park via Bellbird Crescent, then left into Lieutenant Bowen Road.
