Kiama’s Little Blowhole has long been a drawcard for fascinated visitors who come to marvel at the natural wonder from a roadside viewing platform.
But for two local dogs, that’s nowhere near close enough to the action.
Kiama hounds Thumper and Rukus are fixated on the rocketing water spout, and don’t mind copping its strong blast of water directly to the face.
In a recent video shared to social media, Thumper is propelled into the air by the water’s strength.
The dogs’ owner, Ash Davis, said the pair were regular visitors to the site.
The water often pushed the dogs off their feet or even into the sea, but they would merely swim to the rocks, collect themselves and do it again, he said.
“The video is from the third day in a row [they] visited,” Mr Davis told the Mercury.
“They get washed in quite often. They just get washed around and swim around or get washed back up. They got brought up around the water and they just love it.”
