Member for Riverstone Kevin Conolly visited Riverstone station to personally welcome constable Hervell this week.
“On behalf of the community I thank our newest recruit Probationary Constable Nicole Harvell for her commitment to combating crime and dedicating her career to tirelessly protecting our community,” Mr Conolly said.
Probationary Constable Harvell has commenced on-the-job training and will continue distance learning before graduating with an Associate Diploma in Policing Practice.
“I always wanted to be in the police force and make a positive impact on the community” Constable Harvell said.
“Policing can be a very challenging career that involves encountering the best and worst of humanity and I’m very proud our community will benefit from the enthusiasm of an officer starting their new job on the beat,” Mr Conolly said.
“I’m confident the training completed at the Police Academy together with the on-the-job training undertaken at Quakers Hill LAC under the command of Superintendent David Jones will ensure our newest recruit is well prepared for this important role of serving our community,” he said.
