THE findings of Operation Spicer, the ICAC investigation into alleged corrupt dealings by members of the NSW Liberal Party and others, including Bart Bassett, could be revealed on Tuesday, August 30.
Mr Bassett, the former Member for Londonderry, and his dealings with Nathan Tinkler’s Buildev Company in 2011, were investigated by the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
Buildev was originally behind the Redbank development, before the North Richmond Joint Venture took over.
The allegation against Mr Bassett was that he received an illegal donation of $18,000 from Buildev to help with the 2011 election campaign.
Mr Bassett has denied any wrong doing, and appeared before the ICAC in 2014 to give evidence.
The ICAC will hand its Operation Spicer report to the President of the NSW Legislative Council, Don Harwin.
In a media release by the ICAC, it said Mr Harwin would receive the report at 10am on August 30, and could choose to make the report public.
