INDIVIDUALS providing homecare services were recognised for their contributions to the Hawkesbury community at Rotary’s Pride of Workmanship Award night at North Richmond Panthers last week.
The Awards program is conducted by the members of the Kurrajong-Nth Richmond Rotary club, and provides an opportunity for local businesses and organisations to acknowledge the efforts and contributions made by their employees.
Kurrajong-Nth Richmond Rotary member Steve McEwen said homecare service providers work tirelessly to maximise the maximise the quality of life for elderly people, people with a disability, and their carers.
“This industry is filled with people passionate about the work, although more accurately stated they have an absolute dedication to providing the services needed to ensure the best quality of life is attained and retained by each and every individual,” said Mr McEwen.
“Certainly, aged care and associated care industries is a growth area in the greater Hawkesbury.
“Nine of the workers from this industry were honoured on the eve, none of them expecting or wishing for accolades. That added considerably to the pleasure for our club members and guests alike to have such worthy recipients.”
