Arguably the biggest deal on the calendar for all manner of fan-types around the country, Supanova Pop Culture Expo is back again in 2016 and looks like being bigger and better than ever.
To be held at Sydney Showground, Olympic Park, from June 17 to 19, the first of the celebrity guest lineup has been announced and tickets have officially gone on sale.
Heading up the guest list this year will be James Marsters (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jason David Frank (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs (Charmed), Julie Benz (Buffy, Angel and Dexter), and Sean Astin, child star of The Goonies and later Sam Gamgee in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Joining Astin is his middle-Earth costar John Noble, who starred as Denethor in the series of films. The Aussie actor currently appears on the drama Elementary, having only recently finished four seasons as Dr Walter Bishop from the series Fringe.
Of course, Supanova also makes welcome the men and women who voice some of today's most iconic screen characters.
Troy Baker is regarded the quintessential voice actor, having playing the antagonist in almost every anime and video game released. He recently gave voice to villains Harvey Dent/Two-Face and the Joker in Batman's Arkham franchise, and served as Pagan Min in Far Cry 4.
Joining Troy from one of the most successful anime franchises of all time are voice actors Sean Schemmel and Christopher Sabat, who play lead characters Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z.
Jeremy Shada is another notable voice appearing. He's best known as Finn the Human from Cartoon Network's hit animated series Adventure Time. Fans will also recognise his voice as that of Robin in the animated serfies, Batman: Brave and the Bold.
Supanova also includes guests from the world of comics and literature and more big names will be added in coming weeks.
