HAWKESBURY students from Colo High and Bilpin and Freemans Reach public schools, are performing in the Schools Spectacular this Friday and Saturday, November 27-28.
The performances take place in the Qantas Credit Union Arena in the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
Hawkesbury state MP Dominic Perrottet congratulated the students and urged residents to attend the performances.
‘‘For 32 years, the Schools Spectacular has become a much anticipated event on the school calendar,’’ Mr Perrottet said.
‘‘The show features 2000 dancers, a 1500-voice choir, an 80-piece symphony orchestra, fantastic rock, jazz, brass and marching bands and spellbinding soloists.
‘‘It’s a really spectacular showcase of music and dance.’’
He said Hawkesbury students’ participation in the spectacular showed the talent which existed in local schools.
But he said they would not have been able to were it not for the hard work put in by those students and their teachers.
He also said the 2015 spectacular was particularly significant because it would be the last ever show at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
‘‘I wish our Hawkesbury representatives every success; I know they will do an outstanding job,’’ Mr Perrottet said.
Tickets are available at ticketek.com.au for the four afternoon and evening performances on Friday and Saturday.
