THE old RTA office in Richmond is now the new Service NSW Centre, offering more than 800 government services in the one place.
It was officially opened on Monday by Hawkesbury MP Dominic Perrottet, who described the concept of the multi-service centre as a “game changer” in how citizens and businesses interact with government.
Richmond’s Service NSW office was the 43rd of its kind to open in NSW in a major roll out that combines a number of services to make it easier for customers.
In addition to motor registry services, the onestop-shop provides counter services from agencies such as Fair Trading, Births Deaths and Marriages, Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing, Office of State Revenue and much more.
“Gone are the days of having to visit multiple locations for different government services,” Mr Perrottet said.
“Now the people of Richmond and the surrounding Hawkesbury region can access more than 800 transactions and services, all under one roof.
“Having more services available in the one location means you can complete multiple transactions at the one time — for instance you can apply for a NSW Senior’s Card at the same time that you go to renew your driver’s licence.”
The new Richmond centre has extended opening hours, from 7am to 7pm on weekdays and from 8.30am to 12pm on weekends, meaning more people can complete transactions at a time convenient to them, including outside office hours.
For added convenience, customers can also access services 24/7 through the Service NSW website, app and phone contact centre, and check waiting times in store to avoid waiting.
