Know yourself, achieve balance and inner peace — by meditation.
Sahaja yoga is a simple and dynamic method of meditation, according to Kurrajong Heights resident and practitioner Andrew Jones.
‘‘It uses practical techniques that can easily be integrated in your daily life to help you experience emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing,’’ he said.
‘‘True meditation is a state of deep peace which occurs when the mind is calm and silent, yet completely alert.
‘‘Sahaja yoga is used by millions of people worldwide as a practical means to achieve this balanced state.’’
He said the word ‘sahaja’ means ‘inborn’ because Indian practitioners believe the purifying and healing energy awakened through meditation is in every human being from birth.
‘‘Sahaja yoga is a genuine, solid experience, an actual physical reality measurable in one’s nervous system,’’ Mr Jones said.
‘‘It leads to spontaneous improvements in one’s interactions and relationships with the world. Sahaja yoga is freely available to anyone with a genuine desire to know the true self through the quest to evolve to a higher level of awareness, understanding, and enjoyment.’’
At the meeting you’ll be taught how to meditate, the theory behind it, videos from the founder of the meditation method, and practical, simple techniques for achieving peace.
