BeefEater Barbecues recently commissioned a survey that found 87 per cent of barbecue owners wanted to perfect the art of chargrill cooking on a solid-fuel barbecue.
"We surveyed over 1000 Australians and our research showed that solid fuel barbecues are back in fashion," Beefeater managing director Peter Woodland said.
"This is partly due to the fact that Australians are becoming more adventurous in their barbecue cooking and are keen to experiment with different equipment and cooking techniques."
Mr Woodland said 40 per cent of those surveyed had experimented with more gourmet style barbecue cooking including marinades, seafood, pizzas and accompaniments.
"The increasing trend for experimenting with different tastes and flavours has driven the resurgence in popularity of solid-fuel barbecues."
"Solid fuels burn at high temperatures, giving outstanding results on the plate.
"In response to the increasing demand for solid fuel barbecues, BeefEater has launched the new Barbecue Solid Fuel BUGG Barbecue.
