STAYING cool in summer is easy with an airconditioner but keeping energy costs low is a priority for many households.
Panasonic Australia’s national business manager of airconditioning, Shane Quinn, said they have a range of airconditioners that feature energy-saving technologies and an enhanced air-purifying system.
"These models have technology that uses human activity, sunlight and temperature sensors to adapt cooling power to room conditions," he said.
"With one touch of a button energy savings of up to 38 per cent are available in cooling mode and up to 45 per cent in heating mode."

"Our newest reverse-cycle airconditioners also feature a purifying system that deactivates 99 per cent of viruses, mould and bacteria from the air in your home."
He said the No.1 thing to get right when installing an airconditioner was unit capacity.
"Every home and room is different so it’s very important to do your homework and select the correct airconditioner.

"Panasonic has an extremely popular ‘aircon sizing wizard’ app that takes the guesswork out of choosing the correct product and it’s available for iOS, Android and online.
"A common complaint from consumers using airconditioning during summer is how much it dries out the air in your home.
"Panasonic has solved this issue with its exclusive ‘mild dry cooling’ feature that keeps you cool without taking so much moisture from the air."

An airconditioner is a significant investment for any household and Mr Quinn said that a poor-quality airconditioner will still cost as much to install as a top-quality unit.
So ensuring you choose a good-quality product, he said, means you can rest assured that you will always have a reliable premium airconditioning unit working for you in your home.
