THE Christmas in July Charity Day at Hawkesbury Race Club this Sunday will feature an appearance by the Super Wrestling Heroes.
In a day that guarantees fun for the whole family the heroes will host a disco and there will be comedy stage performances and live wrestling action.
Children will be able to have their faces painted and get their photos taken with the wrestlers.
There will also be dodgeball, wrestling, races and prizes for the best dressed superheroes.
The race day is sponsored by Evergreen Turf and Dad and Dave’s Turf and funds raised on the day will go to the Hawkesbury Living Cancer Trust.
So far the trust has raised $1.5 million.
Once approved for use the funds will go towards the opening of an oncology unit at Hawkesbury hospital and will cover the fit-out of the ward, nurse training and patient transport.
Hawkesbury Race Club sponsorship and marketing manager, Vivienne Leggett, said the day would support a great cause.
She said she was expecting a good turn-out to the event.
The race day is free for children, pensioners and members of Richmond Club, Penrith Panthers and Blacktown Workers.
General admission is $10 or you can ‘‘like’’ the Facebook page and get a print-out to receive half price entry.
There will be a gold coin donation for all entertainment.
