RICHMOND High School’s Professional Learning Team was honoured recently as a top-four finalist for the NSW Premier’s Award for Public Service.
Minister for Education Rob Stokes said the school’s “sustained focus on improving the learning outcomes of all students across Years 7 – 12 in literacy and numerical strategies is worthy of particular recognition”.
School staff were acknowledged for their program Guided Learning Overseeing Student Success.
Minister Stokes said he was “proud to see the range of initiatives that schools like Richmond High School are implementing to improve literacy and numeracy skills among students”.
The 2018 Premier’s Awards had 12 categories to showcase achievements and progress towards meeting and exceeding the NSW Premier’s priorities.
“Richmond High School has embraced the challenge of improving student outcomes, inspired reflection and led student and teacher learning with energy and determination,” Minister Stokes said.
