THE state government has invited Hawkesbury sporting clubs to apply for grants to improve their facilities or to run community events.
The latest round of the Local Sport Grant Program is open, and Hawkesbury clubs are welcome to apply for money from the government.
Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet said clubs could potentially receive a maximum of $25,000.
“Sport is a vital part of our community and I encourage all clubs and councils in the Hawkesbury to apply,” Mr Perrottet said.
“Thousands of local clubs can apply for up to $25,000 to fund individual initiatives, with up to $50,000 set aside for every state electorate.”
The Local Sports Grant Program opens today and will accept applications until 24 August 2018. For more information visit sport.nsw.gov.au/clubs/grants/localsport or phone 13 13 02.
