A blaze that destroyed a Riverstone home is believed by police to have been deliberately lit.
Emergency services were called to the Wealtheasy Street home about 6pm on Friday, February 9 and arrived to find the building well alight.
Fire and Rescue NSW and Rural Fire Services crews soon had the fire under control but not before the house was extensively damaged, according to police.
“The blaze was extinguished but the home sustained significant damage,” a police statement said.
“The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire and there have been no reports of injuries.”
Officers from Quakers Hill Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene and investigations into the blaze are continuing.
“Police are treating the fire as suspicious and have urged anyone with information to come forward,” the police statement said.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page online at https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/
